“How is it that ye sought me? Wist ye not, that I must be about my Father’s Business?”

7. At the end of Part I, the old man decided finally to get up from wallowing in his self pity, dust himself off and move on. There comes a time after a love relationship has gone wrong that you cannot continue pining about it. You must let it go, dust yourself off and move on. Is anyone here still struggling with letting go of a love relationship that has long been over, or that has gone sour beyond reconciliation? The author asks that we all bow our heads now, so that she can offer this prayer on our behalves.

Pray: Father in Jesus Name, and because of his blood shed for us, look down with mercy and compassion on us. Forgive us every sin, every disobedience and every rebellion we have committed against you. And hear us as we pray. As we try now to accept those things we cannot change, Father be our glory and the lifter of our heads. Give us the strength to move forward. Help us to wait on your perfect timing for the love we so desire. We know that every good and perfect gift is from above and comes down from you. We know that the blessings of the Lord maketh rich, and adds no sorrow. The relationships we have forged on our own, that have become unfruitful, unprofitable, sinful and hurtful, sever them now along with every ungodly soul tie in Jesus’ Name. Let us move forward in faith, knowing that you will not withhold any good thing from us. Lord Jesus, we believe you are touching those situations and setting us free even now. All you have set free, are free indeed. It is so. In Jesus Name, Amen.
